Labor’s Unemployment Insurance (UI)
systems are being transitioned from
internal mainframe-based applications
to new public-facing web applications.
In this new environment, there is
greater potential for attacks on the
system and consequently for
unauthorized access to protected data.
An essential strategy for building
secure UI with appropriate security
planning addressed in a comprehensive
manner throughout a system’s life
cycle. Resources shall be made
available to certain Information
Technology managers, developers, and
analysts to help improve the security
of NYS Labor’s applications.
